On Sunday, April 18 at 1PM, join the Italian Community of St Louis, Club Italiano Per Piacere, St Louis - Bologna Sister Cities, St Louis Italian Language Program, and Young Italian Alliance STL in welcoming Chef Ale Gambini for an online presentation in Italy's singular approach to food. Listen and learn as the Milan-born author of "No Ketchup on Spaghetti: The Complete Guide on How to Shop, Eat, and Cook Like an Italian" shares her story. She will discuss her inspiration for writing the book and explore topics such as authentic Italian food versus the unpleasant phenomenon of "Italian-sounding" and how to use the high-quality Italian food products in everyday cooking. St Louis Italian Language Program Director, Giovanna Leopardi will host the presentation. The last 15 minutes will be dedicated to a Q&A with Ale. Born and raised in Milan, Italy, she learned how to cook and love good food from her beloved grand- mother Nonna Fernanda. A special word of gratitude to Sicilian composers Antonella Di Giacinto and Giuseppe Di Giacinto for giving us the chance to give glory to God with their beautiful music. We will sing their new hymn "Inno a San Giuseppe" for the Mass of St Joseph. The choir's performance of this piece will be the American debut. (Covid-19 regulations of the Archdiocese of St Louis and the City of St Louis are to be observed. Each loaf of bread is individually wrapped. Masks are to be worn when entering and leaving the church. Once you are seated at your pew, you may discontinue wearing your mask if you wish.) The Italian Film Festival USA - St. Louis is back for a new online winter edition!
