President, St Louis - Bologna Sister Cities
I'm excited to announce that Guidester's "Best of Italy" Tour is sold out! This one-of-a-kind trip gives St Louisans an opportunity to explore Italy with one of the most dedicated and insightful tour guides in St Louis, Jack Baumann, who often takes the road less traveled. His behind-the-scenes tours put an emphasis on wine country experiences, educational and art tourism, and the hidden gems of Italy's gastronomic treasures. This year's trip, September 1 - 12, 2022, is the first of many planned annual tours partnering with the Italian Community of St Louis.
"I’m excited to be leading a second tour through some of my favorite areas in Europe," Jack said, in a statement. "We will spend five nights in Rome exploring the highlights and hidden gems of the Eternal City, then head north to Siena for four nights to discover Tuscany’s hilltop villages, historic wineries, and lush landscapes. For those on the post-tour we will spend an extra two days in Bologna, known as Italy’s food capital and home to the world’s oldest university!"
As Jack mentioned, this spectacular tour will culminate in St Louis' sister city, Bologna, where we will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the St Louis - Bologna Sister Cities, founded in 1987. I am thrilled to accompany Jack on his tour this year which focuses on the Heart of Italy, beginning in Rome and continuing to the Tuscan countryside with visits to Florence, Siena, and other villages in the rolling hills of Italy's most iconic region.
For those who are not able to join us this year, Jack Baumann plans on another "Best of Italy Tour" next year. Stay tuned for more details. For inquiries, feel free to email: firstname.lastname@example.org
