The Italian Community of St Louis is proud to partner with The Magic House, St Louis Children's Museum, in creating CIAO BAMBINI, an interactive exhibit for kids which opens September 23rd.
From pizzas to piazzas, Ciao Bambini will transport families to the beautiful country of Italy. The exhibit will highlight Italy’s world-renowned architecture, art and food, and pay tribute to its significant historical contributions while showing what life is like for children in Italy today. Families will learn to make pasta in a traditional Italian home, serve delicious treats in a gelateria, create a mosaic masterpiece, and learn Italian. Plus, capture your travels with a photo on a Vespa in a typical piazza. A special thanks goes to the following individuals from the Italian community who have participated in the advisory board for an entire year and who saw this entire idea come to life: Tiziana Orsini, Alessandro Valentino, Michael Cross, Federica Bertolini, Benedetta Orsi, Jessica Glunt, Anthony Lancia, Iva Youkilis, Franco Giannotti, Jack Baumann, Rebecca Messbarger, Barbara Klein, Elizabeth Bernhardt, and Scott Hoff. A grand opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, September 22nd at the Magic House. The event is invitation only. The exhibit is open to the public beginning September 23, 2023.
